My first photo for this weeks theme, Frame, is of Onkaparinga Gorge taken through a hole in the wall at Samuel’s Gorge Winery, McLaren Vale. My second shot is a section of Brisbane CBD captured at the look out at Kangaroo Point. Frame

For the weekly photograph challenge, I looked no further than to this photograph I took last Sunday. I was enjoying a beautiful walk in Mt Cootha Botanical Gardens, near Brisbane. It’s a Calliandra surinamensis, Pink Poodle and I loved the pink detail of the flowers.
Back to Front
Have you ever had to sleep on the wrong side of the bed? After you’ve staked a claim to your-side-of-the-bed for over twenty seven years, just imagine how odd it would feel to sleep on ‘the other side’.
It’s a Perfect Day
It’s raining; in fact it’s pouring with no evidence of snoring. There is no let up. Storms are lashing the east coast of Queensland heading southwards into NSW and beyond. There is flash flooding in places and the advice is to stay indoors so that’s exactly what I’m doing.
I don’t do lists – I’ll write a shopping list or a list of invitees to the next get-together or a list for Christmas gifts but that’s about it. However, lists make good reading and one list in particular that still resonates with me was SuzieSpeaks list of 23 things you should have done by […]
Good Friday Dilemma
I have a dilemma; a self-indulgent Good Friday dilemma and it’s this – where am I going to find a decent coffee tomorrow morning? A Sink With a View
Fortunately in today’s modern households, our time spent at the kitchen sink has been reduced considerably, thanks to the introduction of the dish-washer, convenience food and disposable income to spend on restaurants and take-away meals. I was fortunate enough to have this as my view from my kitchen sink for the last nine years – […]
It’s All Go!
It’s all happening; life ticks over for a while and all of a sudden – whoosh! I mentioned in a post Embracing Change back in November that half the family will be moving to Brisbane, well that time has come. The Chef (Actually, I’m not going to call him that any longer. He doesn’t cook […]
