For the weekly photograph challenge, I looked no further than to this photograph I took last Sunday. I was enjoying a beautiful walk in Mt Cootha Botanical Gardens, near Brisbane. It’s a Calliandra surinamensis, Pink Poodle and I loved the pink detail of the flowers.

A great composition with great detail, nice colour saturation and electing to fill the frame with the blooms themselves was a great move.

Thank you. I can’t believe how good the camera is on my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and then I just had some fun with one of the filters. Owning a ‘proper’ camera is next on my list.

Beautiful Lucy. There’s a world of different plants to discover in the sub-tropics. Things that will thrive there when they wouldn’t even survive the 2.4 degrees Celsius we had here in ADL on Friday! Enjoy the Sunshine State!
