Colour Me Happy!

Two weeks into the Happiness Project and I’ve purchased The Mindfulness Colouring Book by Emma Farrorons.  It’s the anti-stress art therapy for busy people.

Adult colouring books are all the rage at the moment and what a wonderful idea they are!  I remember sharing colouring books with my two children when they were younger and often I was still at the table colouring long after they had lost interest and gone off to find something else to do.  What a great way to switch off for a few minutes, just paying attention to the present moment and nothing else.  Yesterday we (that is myself, my daughter and our friend staying from England) made a start.

Mindfulness Colouring2All three of us were itching to add some colour to the page.  This made me happy; just one thing – now I’m regretting passing on the huge bag of felt-tip pens I thought we’d finished with!

I’m working my way through Johanna Basford’s Secret Garden colouring book and it’s fab! I felt a bit of an idiot buying it until the girl on the check out told me they were the in thing for stressed adults.
