This little cubby house, or Wendy house, depending on what side of the planet you live, was already a feature in the garden when we moved in to our current home eight years ago. I can imagine that the children who had lived here previously would have spent many an hour pretending it was their home – equipped with dolls, a cot and ‘play things’. There are lace curtains at the window and a rug on the wooden floor. Complete with its own picket fence, it is just too lovely to demolish. Sadly my children were too old (and too big) and never used it as a play house but eight years on it remains a prominent feature of our garden.
