It’s arrived – the final year 12 EVER in our house. One end of the dining table has been taken up with a huge pile of folders and text books, complimented with the laptop, laptop charger, dirty tea cups and of course the mobile phone which is never out of reach. Our daughter has sailed through the year achieving excellent grades, meeting deadlines for assignments, managing two part-time jobs and maintaining a structured and organised work-life balance.
We are now in the final two weeks of the year before exams and I’m staggered at how well she is coping; in fact even the boyfriend has been banished from our house and that was her own doing. I was beginning to think they’d had a tiff until I realised there was serious work being done. I miss him but thank him for not being a distraction at such a crucial time in our daughter’s life and I thank you my beautiful, amazing daughter for your focus and determination.
You’re off to great places! Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting, so…..get on your way! (Quote by Dr Seuss)
