Earth

This week’s photo challenge is to share an image that means “earth” whether it’s a panorama of a landscape that takes your breath away, a close-up revealing a detail in nature, or another scene that honors the outdoors, as we prepare to celebrate Earth Day on April 22.

I took this photograph a couple of weeks ago in Samford Regional Park, about thirty minutes from Brisbane. I don’t know the name of the fungus but it was pretty impressive for something that had just pushed itself out of the earth.
